Joy to the World

Come join us for “Joy to the World”! We will dedicate our meeting on December 13 to worship and celebrate the birth of our Savior. We have a program that will tell the story of Advent and the coming of the King.

God calls us to steward his blessings and our program asks us to inventory our assets. In doing just that I would like to reflect on 2021 in Recovery Ministry.

1 Peter 4:10 (CSB)

10 Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God.

The 2021 season began with continued reopening from the Covid shut down of 2020. Our kitchen crew began serving food early in the year. Meeting attendees were hesitant to dine before the meeting soon after we opened, however our kitchen is now seeing record numbers with 60 to 70 percent of the meeting attendees eating dinner prior to the start of the meeting every Monday.

We boldly scheduled 12 Step Study starts for 2021 (6 men and 6 women). Our leadership rose to the occasion, and we started and filled 11 of the starts we planned. In 2022 we are scheduling another 12 Step Studies to begin incrementally throughout the year.

Monday night Large Group witnessed a strong return in 2021! Thank you to Henderson Hills for the new venue in The Hall that allows space for us to grow. The Hall is filled with chairs and our attendance is consistently up every week. The addition of people serving in “The Band” has been a blessing.

Finally, The Landing “launched” in September! It is a ministry dedicated to serving students in 6th to 12th grade. The four leaders in charge are having fun as they learn and grow along with the students. We are very pleased with the consistent attendance and the support we receive to meet in the High School room at Henderson Hills every Monday.

THANK YOU, all of you who served in 2021! It is a rich blessing to witness the growth and recovery of the leaders and the attendees. We are pleased with all the Lord has done in 2021, and we look forward to a 2022 filled with his presence and recovery!

Chris
