The Throne Room

Going back to Revelation for this month’s entry we read about John’s invitation to the “throne room.” It says a voice that spoke to him “like a trumpet” (Jesus; Rev 4:1) invited him into “heaven.” There John saw “one seated” on a throne and it was more beautiful than our words can describe (v.2-3). Then we read:

Revelation 4:4 (CSB)

4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones sat twenty-four elders dressed in white clothes, with golden crowns on their heads.

In just a few verses the term “throne” is used a number of times. In fact, in chapters 4 and 5 John refers to the throne seventeen times, and on many of the occasions the One sitting on the throne is being worshiped.

The throne is the place where the king sits. The king is the highest ranking and most influential individual in the land. Also, and most importantly, the king is responsible for promoting the well-being of his or her subjects in all respects.

A benefit of your working Principle one: Realize you are not God…because there is One on the throne eternally, who is promoting your well-being.

Enjoy your Resurrection Day,

Chris
